Athens has a temperate climate, with clear skies for more than 260 days a year. The winters are mild and summers are hot and dry. Between July and August maximum temperatures vary between 29 ° and 35 °. It is highly inadvisable in this period to walk to the Acropolis unless you go in the late afternoon. Even the visit to the ancient or Roman Agoràs are not so pleasant with the heat of the summer sun. The most rainfall occurs between December and February. In recent years it has also snowed at least for a day in February, creating beautiful images of a white Acropolis but also terrible chaos in the streets.
