Do not miss the view on the Acropolis and the whole city (which extends to the sea) from the top of this hill. Moreover, this is a real forest in the heart of Athens. It is full of trees, cypresses, small wooden benches and narrow paths between the vegetation. There is an open theatre with 3000 seats which hosts performances of classical works and various other cultural events.
You can get there by car or by foot, if you are fit, through the many walking paths. You can also use the funicular that works all day and departs from a station between odòs Aristippou and odòs Ploutarchou. It costs 4.5 € roundtrip and it is advisable to go there in the late afternoon or at night.
