(odòs Athinàs)
The market for fish and meat is under an enormous building that strangely resembles a station of the first twentieth century. Here you can see a real melting pot of people. The hundreds of bulbs lit accentuate the grotesque look. To enjoy the atmosphere, go early in the morning when the vendors are shouting with one another. The fruit market is located behind the general markets and is the least expensive of Athens. It is open every morning except Sunday.
