This small but interesting museum has three floors with hundreds of traditional Greek instruments, which once belonged to a private collection of the musician Fivos Anoyiannakis. You can particularly admire the many stringed instruments from baglamàs to bouzoùki, without forgetting the Cretan lira and their eastern cousins (oud, saz). Each showcase is equipped with headphones that let you listen to tunes played by the instruments on display, while they also sell CDs, selected books and copies of these instruments. In high season the museum organizes concerts and courses.
The museum is based in a simple elegant building of 1842 which is located near the Roman Agorà.
